How do I add Workopia to Claude Desktop?

Open Claude Desktop, go to Settings, then MCP Servers, and click Add Server. Enter the URL: https://workopia.io/api/mcp-jobs. No API key is needed. You can then search jobs, build resumes, and get career advice directly in your Claude conversations.

Yes, Workopia is completely free to use. No subscription, no payment, and no login required. Job search and career advice are unlimited. Resume generation is rate-limited to 20 per hour per user to prevent abuse.

Where does Workopia get its job data?

Workopia sources jobs directly from employer career pages and ATS feeds such as Lever. It does not scrape LinkedIn, Indeed, SEEK, or other job boards. Every job listing links to the official employer posting.

Does Workopia store my resume?

No. Resume content submitted via MCP is processed in-memory for PDF generation and discarded after the response. No copies are saved server-side. Workopia does not store conversation history, personal information, or user identity from MCP interactions.

What AI platforms does Workopia work with?

Workopia is a global job-search and career-tools platform. The Workopia MCP connector brings Workopia's capabilities into Claude and other text-mode MCP clients (Cursor, Cline, and the Claude API). 1. Setup

Add as a Custom Connector (available today)

Open Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector

Click Connect → sign in with your Workopia account
Approve the requested scopes (read your profile, save jobs, write tailored resumes)
The 4 Workopia tools are now available in any new conversation

2. Authentication

All write operations are scoped to the signed-in user's profile. Workopia does not generate PDFs server-side — Claude handles PDF export when the user asks.

These three prompts form a natural conversation — each one references the prior result. Run them in order in a single Claude chat to exercise the full search → details → tailor flow.

(Paste your resume into the chat first, or sign in with a Workopia account to auto-fetch.) Returns the full tailored resume + a Skills Gap section + a Strengths Added section (with JD keyword coverage %). Iterate with Claude on wording, then ask Claude to export as PDF.

Follow-up patterns: "Write a cover letter for the same job" triggers the 4th tool; "show me more" paginates the next 10 results; "show me more like #2" seeds a similar-jobs search.

5. Reviewer / test account

A reviewer test account is provisioned for Anthropic Directory review (credentials provided in the submission form, not published here):

Seeded data: Shared with the ChatGPT App Store reviewer account — sample resume + sample application + configured profile (seeded 2026-04-21). Sufficient to exercise all 4 tools end-to-end via the 3 example prompts above.

For other testers: any new Workopia account works. The connector treats all users identically.
