Key Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 3 years healthcare interpreting experience
  • Current National medical interpreter certification CMI or CHI
  • Successful Interpreter Language Assessment
  • Completion of 40-hour Medical Interpretation Training Program within 6 months
  • Annual completion of 2 industry-related elective courses
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Prior healthcare setting experience
