Planning
Responsibilities: Report to the Fleet Manager and support the effective implementation of the Company’s Fleet Management System for assigned tanker vessels. Ensure all assigned vessels maintain valid statutory, class, flag state, vetting, and trading certifications. Ensure vessels are manned in compliance with Safe Manning requirements, STCW regulations, flag state, OCIMF, and tanker industry standards. Liaise with Masters and Chief Engineers to plan and execute preventive and long-term maintenance programs. Monitor vessel maintenance schedules, inspections, testing activities, and ensure timely completion of PMS and critical equipment maintenance. Review and approve technical requisitions, including spares, stores, and repair requirements for tanker operations and cargo systems. Monitor vessel performance, including fuel consumption, cargo operation efficiency, machinery reliability, and off-hire prevention. Review analysis reports for fuel oil, lube oil, cargo equipment, and machinery, ensuring prompt corrective actions are taken. Prepare and monitor vessel operating budgets and expenses, recommending cost-control measures where required. Ensure timely submission and review of technical, operational, and tanker-related reports. Prepare quarterly reports covering vessel condition, certification status, crew matters, dry docking progress, budget performance, and class status. Prepare dry-docking specifications, evaluate shipyard quotations, and coordinate docking projects for tanker vessels. Conduct vessel visits, inspections, and audits in line with company procedures and tanker industry requirements. Support SIRE/CDI vetting inspections, PSC inspections, internal audits, and oil major compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC, MARPOL, SOLAS, and tanker safety standards.
