Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Valid Certificate of Qualification 310T Truck and Coach
  • Five years combined apprentice and journeyperson experience
  • Proficient with electronic diagnostic readers and schematics
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Possess own green patch CSA approved safety footwear

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with electronic multiplexed heavy duty diesel engines
  • Familiarity with computerized work order systems
  • Working experience in a unionized environment
  • Additional courses in the mechanic's trade
  • Willingness to stay current with new technologies

Key Requirements

  • Minimum grade 12 education
  • Valid G Driver's License
  • D or C Ontario Driver's License with Z endorsement preferred
  • Certificate of Qualification (310T) from Skilled Trades Ontario
  • Driver's license abstract acceptable to the City
