Job Summary
This position functions to coordinate all aspects of patients' pharmaceutical needs in the patient care areas.
Duties include assurance of appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy and patient medication profile review for drug-drug interactions, duplication of therapy, drug allergy interactions and appropriate regimens.
This position is also responsible for supervising pharmacy residents and students, medical residents and students, technicians, undergraduate and graduate student teaching, and providing educational programs for hospital staff.
