The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to teach undergraduate courses, with a preference for candidates experienced in policing, law, or research methods. The position requires a doctorate in Criminal Justice or a related field, with candidates expected to engage students in research and teach in-person on campus

Job Summary

  • Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate classes in criminal justice, including general education courses and courses in the candidate's field of specialization.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have teaching or research experience in one or more of the following fields: policing, law and legal practice, research methods, or fields that otherwise compliment current department strengths.
  • Candidates will be expected to teach in person on the UAM campus; experience with online teaching and field experience in areas of specialization is highly desirable.
