Job Summary
The Service Director oversees and performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the inside and external buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property meet the Company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.
Essential duties include assisting with and completing work orders, overseeing the 'make-ready' process for vacant apartments, developing standards for community appearance, and maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials.
The role requires conducting safety meetings, ensuring MSDS sheets are current, staying updated on OSHA and other safety laws, and demonstrating customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect.
