Job Summary

  • The Lab Phlebotomist performs positive patient identification and the collection of various laboratory specimens in an outpatient setting serving newborns through adolescents.
  • Every effort will be made to collect specimens in the least traumatic manner to both child and family, including attention to age-appropriate child life issues.
  • All Laboratory personnel are required to follow Cook Children's Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and the Clinical Laboratory Compliance Plan.
