Job Summary
We are searching for an Engineering Designer Intern to join our Mechanical & Electrical Design & Drafting Department at the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State.
The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer in a paid part-time position located at the University Park Campus.
ARL’s purpose is to research and develop innovative solutions to challenging scientific, engineering, and technology problems in support of the Navy, the Department of Defense, and the Intel Community.

Must-have
Mechanical CAD software proficiency
2D detail drawing creation
3D parametric solid modeling
Database entry and documentation control
On-site work at State College, PA
Nice-to-have
Siemens NX CAD experience
Siemens Teamcenter PLM tool familiarity
ASME Y14.5 certification or knowledge
Microsoft Office and Adobe proficiency
Collaboration with R&D engineers
Key Requirements
Current eligibility for Secret level clearance
U.S. citizenship required
Students pursuing an Engineering degree encouraged to apply
