The position requires relevant licensure and experience, focusing on non-medical counseling and community engagement within military and educational settings

Job Summary

  • Provides non-medical, short-term, solution focused, counseling directly to eligible children and youth of service members.
  • CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of DoDEA, community schools, summer camps as well as providing parent training and guidance.
  • Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone, or web application, to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service/family member.

Key Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health field
  • Independent counseling license (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)
  • Minimum two years post-licensure experience

  • Ability to engage with military members or children
  • US Citizenship
  • Fluent in English
  • Pass background checks and clearance
  • Valid U.S. state vehicle operator’s license
  • Experience with children and youth
  • School assigned counselors must have past work experience in a school setting
