Penn State’s Office of Physical Plant Planning, Design & Properties is seeking landscape architecture interns for Summer 2026. The position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of landscape architecture, including design, planning, and project oversight, with compensation based on educational level.

Job Summary
The primary mission of this group is to promote wise stewardship of the University’s physical assets and to provide responsive, high quality, and creative planning & design solutions, as well as project oversight, for both exterior and interior spaces, in support of the University’s mission.
Based on the applicants’ backgrounds and interests, the successful candidates will assist staff landscape architects with a wide variety of tasks, some of which may include site reconnaissance & research, design conceptualization & development, project design meetings & job conferences, graphic design & production, documentation & database management, and construction observation.
During the fall and spring semesters, interns may work up to 20 hours a week. During the summer, interns are expected to work 40 hours a week.
