Job Summary
The Lead Capacity Management Specialist (CMS) is responsible for throughput operations within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center University Hospital in partnership with nursing and physician leadership, staff nurses, multidisciplinary stakeholders and administrative leadership of the hospital.
The position performs daily targeted rounding to assist in alleviating barriers for patient discharges, in addition to reviewing and escalating any barriers to patient discharge.
The Capacity Management Specialist- Lead directs the department staff, medical personnel and other team members to achieve optimal patient throughput.
