Job Summary

  • The Student Development Specialist will oversee the initial advising of students in undergraduate programs for the College of Business, Health, and Human Services (CBHHS) and will be responsible for other administrative duties in CBHHS.
  • Serve as a student advocate to help ensure student success using holistic advising theory and manage the student advising for CBHHS current and prospective students.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of advising and retention programs, special events, recruitment efforts, and retention functions.

Key Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education, academic advising, student affairs, or related field OR Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience
  • Experience in higher education settings
  • Experience with complex database systems, specifically Workday
  • Ability to travel in state
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule
