Job Summary

  • The University Registrar serves as the senior leader responsible for the integrity, security, and strategic oversight of all academic records, registration, enrollment operations, and student data systems at the University of Louisville.
  • The position directs the Records and Registration Department, including supervision of 16 staff members and management of the office budget, while also leading planning for biannual Commencement ceremonies and certifying student athlete eligibility for NCAA competition.
  • The Registrar collaborates closely with academic units, IT leadership, Enrollment Management, and external agencies to support major initiatives and represents the University on committees and special projects.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Business Administration, Information Systems, or Public Administration (Preferred)
  • Ten or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in Registrar, Enrollment Management, or academic administration roles (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising complex units
  • Managing enterprise academic or enrollment systems
  • Experience serving as an institutional data record steward or compliance officer for FERPA
  • Significant leadership experience with student information systems, analytics, and enterprise technology implementation
  • Proven success driving process transformation, policy development, and organizational change
  • Strong communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
