Must-have

  • Significant experience as referring officer
  • Documented knowledge of divisional policies
  • Experience with offender disciplinary process
  • Knowledge of OPUS system usage
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Prior service at Sergeant or Supervisor level
  • Experience auditing disciplinary reports
  • Familiarity with classification processes

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or criminal justice
  • Two years of correctional programs management experience
  • Current North Carolina Department of Adult Correction employee status
  • Eligible State Government Reduction in Force candidate status
  • Served at Correctional Sergeant or Program Supervisor level for two years
