Job Summary
This position serves as a Transportation Planner II within the Ferry Division Planning and Development Unit and is responsible for leading and coordinating the Division’s statewide and regional planning, programming, and grant development activities.
The position represents the Ferry Division at Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Rural Planning Organization (RPO) meetings throughout the coast, provides technical and policy updates, and ensures Ferry Division projects are appropriately evaluated and competitively positioned within regional and statewide prioritization processes.
The position also manages and administers federal and state grant programs for the Ferry Division, including identifying funding opportunities, coordinating application development, monitoring compliance, and ensuring proper financial tracking and reporting in accordance with state and federal regulations.
