Job Summary

  • To ensure all plant activities are performed in compliance with HSE policies, standards and regulations by initiating, developing and improving environmental policies, procedures and trainings in order to comply with legal and Company requirements, create awareness amongst employees, increase knowledge and drive a solid HSE culture.
  • Responsible for keeping environmental reports up to date in compliance with environmental regulations; Reports on all environmental issues; Keep up-to-date with proposed and actual changes in environmental regulations, so the organization’s HSE policies remain current and relevant.
  • Implementation of corporate EHS guidelines and standards; Development and improvement of Environmental management (ISO 14001) processes and site environmental procedures; Implementation of Environmental management process, metric system; Responsible for maintaining environmental (ISO 14001) procedures and legislation in Management System and training.

Key Requirements

  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, environmental sciences or equivalent
  • At least 14 years experience in the chemical industry
  • Environmental regulations specialist
  • Leadership, training, presentation, problem solving, decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English
