Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical records.
Essential duties include evaluating patients within twenty-four (24) hours of physician referral, developing effective treatment plans, and treating patients per the physician treatment plan.
The role involves supervising Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants, participating in patient care conferences, and instructing patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
