Baynethinline is seeking a Machine Operator I with experience in CNC operations, particularly in plasma and laser cutting. The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical skills and an understanding of CAD blueprints, with a focus on accuracy and safety

Job Summary

  • Reviews 2D & 3D CAD design blueprints and programs 3 axis CNC plasma and laser cutting tables utilizing Hypertherm’s Pronest offline programming software.
  • Performs a variety of duties including grinding, de-burring, cleaning of parts, cutting and removal of scrap, and selects correct cutting tips and other attachments.

  • Inspect for defects using precision instruments
  • Determine sequence of operations
  • Make improvements to set up times
  • Operate Niagra ¼” Shear
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations
  • Operate overhead cranes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Strong math skills (decimals, fractions, geometry)
  • Ability to measure and work with tight tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions

Nice-to-have

  • Manufacturing background preferred
  • Some college coursework or technical school knowledge preferred

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years related experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Adequate reading comprehension skills
  • Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
