Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.
Administer medications as ordered by the physician, verify resident identity, and ensure prescribed medication for one resident is not administered to another.
Participate in employee performance evaluations, determine staffing requirements, and make recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor concerning employee dismissals and transfers.
