The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality is seeking a State Engineer for Dam Safety to oversee the Engineering Review Program. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree, a Professional Engineer's license, and experience in dam safety management.

Job Summary
The primary mission of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is to provide science-based environmental stewardship for the health and prosperity of all North Carolinians.
This position is primarily responsible for Supervision and Management of the Engineering Review Program with responsibilities for review of technical and professional engineering work as it relates to dam emergency action planning, construction, modification, repair, breach, or removal.
This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays.
