Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Inpatient surgical cardiology care
Collaborative practice with physicians
Hospital rounding and consultation
Prescriptive authority
10 hour rotating shifts
Call coverage one weekend per month
Nice-to-have
Cardiology experience as advanced practice provider
Cardiology experience as Registered Nurse
Certified RNFA
Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification
Work in pediatric specialty programs
Key Requirements
Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
Minimum 1 year pediatric or related specialized experience
Current Texas RN and APRN licenses or PA license
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification when assigned to Cardiology
Pediatric nurse practitioner acute care certification when assigned to certain specialties
