The internship will focus on 3D simulation of the mixture preparation process in the engine, resulting in a quantitative assessment of fuel wall film formation and subsequent soot formation.
The intern will contribute by validating CFD models using measurement data from tests, and develop optimized designs for engine sprays, thermal units and heat exchangers to improve performance/efficiency and mitigate existing problems.
