Job Summary

  • The School Nurse provides services such as referring, record keeping and reporting of immunizations, health screen findings and other relevant health data in order to comply with federal, state and local laws regulations and policies.
  • Promotes and protects the optimal health status of all students; Provides resources, and/or locations for families to complete the required vision, hearing, and scoliosis screening requirements for Texas students.
  • This is a home-based position with potential travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.

Key Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse (RN) OR Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • One (1) year experience in public health, community health, school health, or pediatric nursing
  • Certified in CPR or BLS
  • Ability to clear required background check
