Key Requirements

  • Master's degree in library science or equivalent
  • Ten years of related experience
  • Over 10 years experience in libraries, archives, museums, or public history
  • Demonstrated record of progressively responsible project leadership
  • Significant work with archival and special collections
  • Strong knowledge of academic library functions, cataloging standards, and archival metadata
  • Experience with collection management and library technology systems
  • Demonstrated leadership, including supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to manage projects and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Experience with digital project lifecycles
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, collaborate, and resolve conflicts
  • Reading knowledge of at least one non-English language
