Montage Health is seeking a temporary, per diem Work Study Nursing Assistant for the Emergency Department in Monterey, CA. The ideal candidate will have completed the first year of nursing education, possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, and be capable of performing various patient care and clerical duties under supervision
Job Summary
Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, charge nurse, or nurse, the work study nursing student will take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients.
The work study nursing student may also perform skills that were successfully demonstrated as a student in the nursing program at the Maurine Church Coburn School of Nursing and as described in the Work Study academic syllabi for the current semester.
Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs.
