Job Summary

  • We are looking for a Senior FinOps Engineer to lead the financial optimization of our global data estate.
  • This is a technical FinOps role, but you are not expected to write production data pipelines.
  • You will act as the bridge between Finance (Budget/Forecasting) and Engineering (Performance/Architecture).

Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • Azure / AWS / Snowflake / Databricks / Cloudera
  • Analyze billing data and usage logs
  • Develop unit economics models
  • Define and maintain cloud commitment strategies
  • Partner with Platform Engineering
  • Implement Policy-as-Code
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI or Spotfire

Nice-to-have

  • Speak the language of engineering
  • Translate architectural choices into financial outcomes
  • Solid stakeholder management skills

Key Requirements

  • 4–7+ years in FinOps, Cloud Analyst, or Data Operations
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake pricing
  • Strong understanding of Databricks pricing
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure core concepts
  • Experience with Reserved Instances, Savings Plans
  • Python for light automation or data analysis preferred
