Job Summary

  • The RN, Transport will function as a team member while upholding the mission, vision and values of Cook Children's Health Care System.
  • This person will work in collaboration with RTs and Paramedics, in providing cares to the Neonatal and Pediatric population in all modes of transport, including ground ambulance, rotor wing and fixed wing aircraft.
  • Cook Children's Medical Center offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.

Key Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program
  • Minimum 3 years recent Neonatal/Pediatric ICU or Emergency experience or current Neonatal/Pediatric Transport experience
  • Current Texas Nursing license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current PALS or obtain within 6 months
  • Current NRP or obtain within 6 months
  • Current ACLS or obtain within 6 months
  • Current TNCC or equivalent or obtain within 12 months
  • Current STABLE or obtain within 6 months
  • Current Texas EMT or Paramedic license or obtain within 12 months
  • Current Advanced Certification or obtain within 24 months
