Job Summary
This position is accountable for the procurement of materials and services used in the manufacturing operation at McKenzie Valve & Machining LLC.
The main function of the Purchasing Department is to achieve the lowest total cost while providing control over required materials and services necessary for efficient company operations.
The incumbent negotiates with vendors concerning price, service, quality and delivery while ensuring suppliers are selected in the best interest of the company.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
3-5 years experience in manufacturing preferred
Strong vendor negotiation skills
Ability to operate computerized purchasing system
Willingness to wear safety equipment
Nice-to-have
Experience with Lean principles such as Kanban
Knowledge of Responsible Care Management System
Ability to travel via car, train, or airplane
Proven track record in quality improvement projects
Experience with ERP driven purchasing systems
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business or relatable field
3-5 years' experience in manufacturing preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Vision correctable to 20/20 for inspection activities
