Job Summary
The CT protocoling technologist will work under the indirect supervision of radiologists and cardiologists to ensure appropriate CT scan ordering, and protocol selection based on patient diagnosis and facilitating technical excellence.
Responsible for maintaining core CT scanning competencies, he/she will be responsible for ensuring imaging quality, delivering appropriate radiation dose to patients, and protocol management for basic and advanced CT/CTA procedures.

Assist in precepting and orienting technologists
Expertise in CT scanner operation
Adhere to radiation safety measures

Key Requirements
Graduate of AMA accredited program in radiologic technology
Associate's degree in radiologic technology
2 years clinical experience as a CT Technologist
ARRT (R) Registered
ARRT (CT) Registered
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - AHA approved
High level knowledge in CT image quality, safety, and protocols
High level of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology
Competency in performing examinations and procedures on patients of all ages
Good working knowledge of PACS, HIS, RIS, department protocols and VH policies
