Job Summary
Seasonal Contract position supporting the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC).
Perform pipe welding and structural welding tasks on maintenance and construction projects, including cutting, fitting, connection, and installation of piping.
Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods, including successful completion of medical, dental, drug screening, and background checks.

Must-have
Perform maintenance or construction welding
Weld various types and sizes of piping
Work outdoors in environmentally challenging conditions
Respond to emergency service calls
Use solid decision-making ability and sound judgment
Nice-to-have
Experience with a variety of pipe materials
Brazing experience
Rigging experience
Prior cold weather welding experience
Participate in community programs
Key Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 4 years’ experience in pipe fitting and pipe welding
Previous 6G welding certification
Must pass a 6G welding certification exam prior to deployment
US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization
