Job Summary
The position is responsible for facilitating whether research study proposals submitted primarily to the UBC Okanagan Behavioural Research Ethics Board (BREB) are acceptable on ethical grounds by implementing and monitoring ethical review processes and standards.
This position must be pro-active in identifying and rectifying any weaknesses in compliance with the TCPS2 and other national ethical and legislative standards for research ethics.
The position has significant influence on the quality and effectiveness of the services provided by UBC’s REBs, and errors in judgment could have a significant impact on the incumbent's ability to carry out the functions of the position effectively.
