Job Summary
The GIS Technician will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of GIS data and maps for the water/ waste water infrastructure, as well as respond to requests for custom maps and/or reports.
Reviews and interprets data sources and uses standard ESRI ArcGIS software functions to enter, edit and update GIS spatial data, including points, lines, and polygons, and attribute data into databases or layers, following standard procedures.
Serves as a technical resource to other staff and may provide lead work direction, guidance, and training.
