Job Summary

  • It is the responsibility of the cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
  • The cook must maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner while preparing tasteful meals and special diets accurately.
  • The role includes supervising dietary staff when needed and reporting resident care concerns to the Administrator and/or Director of Nurses.

  • Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate
  • Good standing with Department of Public Health
