Job Summary

  • The Director of Staff Development (DSD) is responsible to plan and implement facility orientation, job skills training, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants as required by regulations.
  • The DSD also provides direct resident/patient care and works with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating and participating in staff recruitment and hiring, managing payroll and benefits, and planning and conducting required drills.
