The Assistive Technology Teacher is primarily responsible for providing specialized instruction, consultation, and support in assistive technology for students with visual impairments.
This position focuses on equipping students with the technology skills, tools, and strategies necessary to access the curriculum, develop independence, and prepare for postsecondary education, employment, and independent living.
The Assistive Technology Teacher collaborates with instructional staff, related service providers, families, and external agencies to ensure appropriate selection, implementation, and effective use of assistive technology aligned with students’ individualized needs.

Key Requirements
NC Professional Educator’s License in Visual Impairment or Special Education
