The Prevention and Risk Reduction Assistant will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of GBV work and mitigating risks to women and girls through community risk analysis and promoting safe environments

Job Summary

  • The Prevention and Risk Reduction Assistant will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of GBV work and mitigating risks to women and girls through community risk analysis and promoting safe environments.
  • This position will cover prevention services in WGCCs, WGSSs and the field, making relations with other IRC teams to improve adolescent girls' programming and GBV response and mitigation activities.
  • The role requires daily field movement to WGSS/WGCCs and community locations for implementing prevention and risk reduction activities across targeted districts.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Courses in Psychological Support, Psychology First Aid, prevention certificate
  • Minimum two years of experience in protection and women’s protection and empowerment in Yemen
  • Minimum two years of experience in implementing risk reduction activities
  • Experience in managing volunteers and facilitators
  • Knowledge in logistic implementation and handling petty cash
  • Good understanding of Gender Based Violence
