Job Summary

  • The Student Support Specialist will assist Deans and faculty in the retention of undergraduate and graduate students by offering support and resources for emotional/mental health, financial stress, academic, and personal difficulties.
  • Key responsibilities include providing advice, crisis counseling, case management, coordinating with campus services, developing early intervention programs, and tracking at-risk students.
  • This is a five-year externally funded position with potential for extension, requiring a Master's degree in social work and at least 2 years of post-Master's social work experience.

Key Requirements

  • Student advising and retention experience preferred
  • Program planning and evaluation experience preferred
