Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business management, public administration, mathematics, finance or a related field
  • Four (4) or more years’ experience in tax examination/preparation, accounting, auditing, business administration or related field
  • Two (2) years or more of experience as Tax Field Auditor I or Tax Auditor I
  • Three (3) years or more of experience as a Tax Examiner III or Tax Analyst II or higher with the State Of Vermont Department Of Taxes
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Experience in a government audit role
  • Pass background investigation and fingerprinting
