Skills & Requirements

Must-have

  • 7-10+ years building distributed systems at scale
  • Expert proficiency in Go or willingness to learn
  • Deep understanding of consensus algorithms and replication
  • Proven experience scaling backend systems via sharding
  • Track record of making impactful architectural decisions

Nice-to-have

  • Experience driving reliability in organizations with thousands of microservices
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud orchestration systems
  • Experience with AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or OpenSearch
  • Background in performance engineering and profiling
  • History of establishing SLO/SLI frameworks and error budgets

Key Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in distributed systems
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
