Job Summary

  • Utilize flight test techniques to perform test flights of aircraft to measure performance and handling to determine airworthiness following maintenance or modifications.
  • Perform recovery flights and ferries aircraft to additional sites, such as depots, and troubleshoot aircraft on the ground and during flight.

Key Requirements

  • Completed military flight and applicable training courses
  • Ten (10) years of aviation maintenance experience
  • 1000 Hours of Pilot in Command time preferred
  • Proficient in flying operations of the UH-72
  • Satisfactorily completed a proficiency check within 12 months
  • Successfully complete FAA Class II flight physical
  • Possess an instrument rating on FAA Commercial Certificates
  • Possess a current valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • Successfully completed Army Maintenance Test Pilots Course (MTPC) or equivalency
  • Successfully completed US Army Aircraft Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase II or equivalency
  • Meet experience requirements of AFR55-22, NOTAMS, AR95-10, AR95-20 and DCMA-8210
  • 1,000 or more hours of total flight time
  • At least 300 hours in same aircraft type and design
  • 100 hours in the assigned aircraft
  • Eligible to obtain a Passport and travel internationally
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship is required for Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
