Job Summary
This role exists to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies by rapidly designing, building, and implementing innovative electrical and embedded solutions.
As an Electrical & Embedded Systems Technical Expert, you will design, develop, validate, and maintain firmware, software, PCBs, and embedded systems that enable GM Manufacturing tools, processes, and test systems across development, validation, and production environments.
The selected candidate will be required to travel less than 25% and work onsite full-time, with relocation benefits potentially available.

Must-have
firmware development in C/C++
embedded systems hardware bring-up
vehicle communication protocols CAN LIN Ethernet
network configuration and troubleshooting
PCB design and validation
debugging hardware firmware networks
Nice-to-have
experience with Python scripting
automotive development and testing background
test automation and lab systems
cybersecurity for in-vehicle devices
rapid prototyping hardware/software
collaborative cross-functional communication
familiarity with GitHub and Jira
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
strong experience in embedded firmware/software development
