  • The AI Foundations team is at the center of bringing our vision for AI at Capital One to life, touching every aspect of the research life cycle from partnering with Academia to building production systems.
  • You will be expected to be an external leader representing Capital One in the research community, collaborating with prominent faculty members in the relevant AI research community.

Sales Territory: $311,900 - $356,000; Cambridge, MA: $343,100 - $391,600; McLean, VA: $343,100 - $391,600; New York, NY: $374,300 - $427,200; San Francisco, CA: $374,300 - $427,200; Bonus/Equity: Eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation; Benefits: Comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits

Key Requirements

  • PhD in related fields plus 6 years of experience
  • M.S. in related fields plus 8 years of experience
  • PhD focus on NLP or Masters with 10 years industrial NLP research experience
  • Core contributor to team that trained large language model from scratch
  • Numerous publications at ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, Neurips, ICML or ICLR
  • Experience with 500+ node clusters of GPUs
  • Experience with common training optimization frameworks
