Job Summary

• Position responsible for serving in a leadership role and as a clinical expert in the delivery and management of patient care and is cross-trained to competently care for patients from multiple services/specialties with more complex diagnosis.
• Delivers appropriate care to patients, at a competent level, according to the Skills Inventory and the age and needs of the patient/population served.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Requirements

• Graduate of a Paramedic training program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Certified as a Paramedic in the Texas Department of Health
• Obtain ATLS and FP-C within eighteen months of hire
• Minimum three (3) to five (5) years as in-charge paramedic ALS 911 service
• Meet weight requirements of less than 240 pounds
