Job Summary
Evaluate patients within twenty four (24) hours, or 1 business day of physician referral, and develop effective treatment plans approved by the referring physician.
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students while assisting nursing with training and participating in patient care conferences and utilization reviews.
Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training in preparation for discharge, and recommend necessary durable medical equipment to facilitate patient independence.
