Job Summary
The role involves planning, developing, and directing the facility's comprehensive infection control program in accordance with current rules and regulations.
The incumbent must monitor infection control practices, ensure proper isolation precautions, and provide direct nursing care to residents with communicable diseases.
This position requires developing and implementing training programs for personnel regarding bloodborne pathogens, TB management, and standard/universal precautions.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Current active RN license required
Knowledge of CDC OSHA regulations
Experience with infectious disease protocols
Ability to conduct infection surveillance
Proficiency in aseptic technique
Nice-to-have
APIC certification preferred
PCC knowledge preferred
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Experience in long-term care settings
Ability to work under stress
Key Requirements
Nursing degree from accredited college
2+ years experience in long term care
Active state Registered Nurse license
Current CPR certification
Working knowledge of epidemiology and microbiology
