Job Summary
The Assoc Dir, Linux/Unix Admin role is responsible for the management and support of the Linux and Unix servers under the management of the IQVIA CIO Cloud Services organization.
Execute & manage daily (24x7) Linux and Unix systems administration operations, including routine operations and maintenance, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Crisis Management & Disaster Recovery across multiple technologies & teams to deliver high quality & stable services.
Manage IT operational support team while complying and meeting company standards, contractual requirements & deliverables.

Red Hat/Oracle Linux fundamentals
LVM concepts
Networking concepts and troubleshooting
Storage related tasks for Linux/VMware
Patching methodologies and procedures
ITIL concepts and SLA management

DevOps mindset
Docker/Kubernetes knowledge
Cloud experience
ITIL certified
AIX, HP-UX and Solaris experience
Key Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science or 10+ years relative working experience
10+ years managing Linux and Unix platforms
5+ years in a management role
Experience maintaining shift and on call rotations
Moderate knowledge of remote management (iLO, idrac)
Knowledge of vCenter usage
Basic knowledge on databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM preferred
Knowledge of backup functionalities (TSM, Actifio, Commvault)
