The primary purpose of this position is to provide extracurricular services as part of Child and Adolescent Programming within a state psychiatric hospital.
Candidates are preferred if they have experience in the care of children with trauma, intellectual delays, or behaviors that may be verbally or physically aggressive.

Skills & Requirements
Must-have
Experience caring for children with psychiatric disorders
Ability to manage verbally or physically aggressive behaviors
Ability to drive an 8-passenger van
Current valid driver's license required
CPR certification and Nurse Aide I or II listing
Nice-to-have
Ability to mentor and lead lower level staff
Experience planning classes and sports activities
Willingness to work occasional weekends
Ability to obtain a CDL license
Flexibility to meet hospital needs during adverse weather
Key Requirements
Associate's Degree in human services plus two years experience OR High School diploma plus four years experience
CPR certification required prior to direct patient care
Listing as a Nurse Aide I or Nurse Aide II by NC Division of Health Service Regulation
Must successfully complete initial trainings and hospital orientations
Must pass pre-employment drug testing and criminal record background checks
