** The Electricity Supply Board is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor - Cost Specialist for their Networks & Civil, Environmental Engineering Department. The role involves comprehensive quantity surveying responsibilities, including cost management and contract negotiation for civil engineering projects, with an emphasis on collaboration and stakeholder engagement. **

Job Summary

  • The Cost Specialist role will encompass all aspects of quantity surveying including cost, contract and commercial risk management for our full range of civil engineering projects related to Networks infrastructure development in ESB.
  • Provide strong leadership skills in the development of commercial management capability, through integration of commercial lessons learned, mentoring of junior staff and enhanced collaboration.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of the commercial tender enquiry documentation including use of ARM 5 for BOQ preparation, and subsequent commercial assessment and critical evaluation of tenders, including collaborating with the various procurement functions across ESB, for large scale projects.
