Job Summary

  • This role offers Service members the opportunity to gain real-world civilian work experience through the Military DoD SkillBridge program during their last 180 days of service.
  • The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Commercial Jet Engine Test Cell equipment while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
  • Participants are not eligible for compensation from GE Aerospace as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.

Must-have

  • Active Military personnel last 180 days
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Operation of specialized equipment
  • Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Work in high-noise environments

Nice-to-have

  • Humble and eager to learn attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with PLC controls
  • Ability to work weekend shifts
  • Experience with Maximo or SAP
  • NFPA 70E knowledge

Key Requirements

  • Active Military status (last 180 days)
  • Associate's degree OR High School Diploma with 2 years technical experience
  • U.S. Person status (Citizen, LPR, Asylee, or Refugee)
